Our Social Impact

We’re making changes and taking action to build a better Wiggett Group, starting a movement where small actions can make a big impact advancing our purpose and changing lives.

Staying true to our company values will guide us toward continued growth and success for decades to come.

Our industry activities have a significant influence over the communities in which we operate. We don’t just construct buildings, we’re constructing hope, jobs, clean air and unity.

We invest in technology that reduces impact, reuses and recycles energy to protect the environment. Our strategic 2025 and 2030 goals guide our footprint reducing efforts. We have a special focus on renewable energy.

Sustainable Fashion

MASCOT manufactures a broad range of high quality workwear and safety footwear. Together with MASCOT, Wiggett Group created a uniform collection for our operatives made of 100% recycled materials.

At Wiggett Group, we believe that accessibility is just as important as health and safety, aesthetics and quality of work. All our engineers have, or are in the process of learning BSL and we have a text-to-speech option on our company issued hardware.

Life at Wiggett is fast-paced, entrepreneurial and highly empowering, however we are all different and respond to the same environment differently. What we’ve tried to do as a business is to provide, certainty, structure and support where we can. Introducing the Well-Being and Mental Health Awareness policy and training Mental Health First Aiders, supports our colleagues, clients and communities when they need it most.

Inclusion In Our Workforce

Our work allows us to serve people from backgrounds all around the globe. In order to for us to connect and work effectively, we need employees from different backgrounds and a culture that celebrates those differences.

Wiggett Group added inclusion as a cultural value in 2019 and since then, our team have been building a foundation and sowing the seeds for inclusion to take root within the company. There is more work to be done but we’re committed to make our workforce more reflective of the world we live in.

Building communities and investing in people. Together, we can build a better future

Looking to the Future

Over the next five years we aim to focus our attention on the below urgent matters:

A safe home is a human right that many are not afforded. We look to work alongside a reputable charity to combat this and provide support to those who are currently experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.

Our world is rapidly declining due to heavy emissions and pollutions of our natural resources. We can work to enact change and we aim to support those who are fighting these causes and making change.

Mental Health

Mental Health is just as important as physical health yet the stigma is still very prevalent. We aim to work with a reputable charity to raise funds and awareness.

We Believe In The Power Of Our Differences

“We aspire to create a company and a world where equality and inclusion is achievable for all; where respect and inclusion are the cornerstones of our culture; where equal access and opportunity to learn, grow, succeed and thrive are available to everyone.”

Rebekah Douglas
Social Impact and Customer Care Manager

We strive to be a company and create a culture where our employees are able to show up to work as their whole, authentic selves, and feel safe in doing so. By building a workforce that is more representative of our clientele and a workplace that creates a sense of belonging for everyone, we are building a better Wiggett Group – together.
We are proud of our progress, but we do not have all the answers yet. We build equality and inclusion into key areas of our supply and value ecosystem by expanding opportunity – and by partnering with others to advance critical priority areas for the company, we can accelerate growth of humanity and business.
We invest heavily into existing sustainable technology and advanced material research. We run ongoing initiatives to foster a spirit of innovation across our entire business, our people, our customers and our industry. We work hard on the ongoing digitalisation of the construction industry using technologies such as data information, augmented reality and virtual reality.

We commit to diversity, equality, equity and inclusivity, to identify the gaps that create inequity, and to develop the strategies that can change experiences, lives and whole communities. When we expand opportunity, we accelerate growth.

Constructive, collaborative and caring. We recognise our role in ensuring our company is rooted in the communities in which we operate through sports sponsorships, community funding and community volunteering.
